Jim Fairlie: To ask the Scottish Government what its latest engagement has been with the UK Government regarding financial pressures that households in Scotland are facing as a result of energy costs.
In 2022/23, 539 posts were filled in less than 12 weeks, 169 in 12 to 26 weeks and 35 took over 26 weeks. Analysis shows that the rate of turnover has largely been driven by voluntary turnover consisting of staff leaving to take up other jobs.
As such, the Scottish Government remains confident that NHS Grampian will achieve its financial targets in 2025-26 and 2026-27. I thank the cabinet secretary for his answer and welcome him back to the chamber.
I will, again, be clear that we estimate that, by the conclusion of the 2026-27 spring budget revision, the local government settlement will have increased by at least £650 million in comparison with the 2025-26 budget, because of the in-year transfers.
We have made £38 million available to eight projects across Scotland to provide additional residential rehabilitation beds. The latest published figures report a rise in capacity of 88 beds, giving a total of 513 in September 2024, and there has been further expansion since then.
