We also note the recent announcement that the UK Government intends to make its Autumn Statement on 26 November. As you will be aware, the scheduling of this Statement late in the year significantly impacts on the timetable for producing the Scottish Budget and the time available for important scrutiny by this Committee and the wider Scottish Parliament.
On the matter of wider support for primary care, the 2025-26 Scottish Budget includes over £2.2bn in resource funding for primary care, aiming to improve capacity, patient access, and reduce demand on acute services.
We have made the strategic decision to support this key activity through an additional drawdown of ScotWind revenue totalling £25 million, to add to the £7.8 million in our budget for 2025-26.
