As Ms Smith may well be aware, I have written to every tenant in Scotland, most recently to all those in the private rented sector, signposting them to the support that is available.
To ask the Scottish Government what evidence it has regarding the efficacy of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) screening, and what its position is on whether such screening has potential to be distressing or harmful for those involved.
I welcome what the minister said about oversight, but one of the most troubling revelations in the “Disclosure” documentary was that the Mental Welfare Commission had already visited Skye house on no fewer than six occasions, five of which were announced visits.
That was, in part, because the bill would not alter those tenants’ position. The committee recommended that the promoter ensure that all tenants be notified about the bill and proposed changes to the society’s constitution.
