The seller of a right-to-buy house is legally obliged to“deliver a good and marketable title” to the purchaser under conditions of sale,as set out in section 64 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987.
The term describes the position in which, for example, a person who is unduly influenced to buy an item by another person who seeks to sell it to them decides that they do not wish to honour the contract because of that undue influence.
I thank the First Minister for that very full answer and I welcome the steps that have been taken. He talks about patterns of food buying in deprived areas, but we know that people in such areas do not always have the luxury of choice.

This information is not held centrally. The right to buy legislation restricts the discount available to those who have exercised the right to buy on more that one occasion.
The power, which will be subject to the negative procedure except in the case of regulations that are made under section 63(d), has been extended—by the inclusion of section 63(da)—to allow ministers to make provision by regulation for the maintenance of registers of information about SCIOs.
We did not examine how much the website is used. The information on the website about the groups is fairly comprehensive; there is a page for each group and each group can be accessed through MSPs.
