*S5M-04458 Pauline McNeill: Ticket Touting That the Parliament understands that an — increasing number of artists, including Damien Rice and Biffy Clyro, are speaking out about the impact of ticket touting on music and other entertainment events; believes that, by using automated systems, secondary ticketing websites have the ability to buy up hundreds of tickets, which they then sell on for many multiples of each ticket s face value; supports the view that this ’ practice unfairly inflates prices beyond the reach of many people, and, to ensure that fans are not needlessly priced out of seeing their favourite artists, urges action to be taken against the secondary ticketing sector to limit the number of tickets that companies can buy for each event and the prices that they can then charge for them.
