To ask the Scottish Government, in light of estimates that approximately 1,000 babies across the UK die each year from pre-eclampsia-related complications, what steps it is taking to help identify such babies and reduce the risk of them dying.
I see the value in having a young person with experience of taking qualifications on the board, and we would be happy to work with Mr Greer to ensure that efforts were made to promote and encourage applications from those under 26. I therefore ask Mr Greer not to press the amendment and to work with me and other stakeholders to consider how we can best do that effectively.
Would the committee be inclined to write to the national services division to seek clarification on its approach to applications in 2024-25 and to ask for information about its funding position for 2025-26? Are colleagues content with that proposal?
