Merging the Neonatal Expenses Fund to create a single united fund, the Young Patients Family Fund (YPFF), was identified as one of the commitments the government would deliver within its first 100 days post-election, and we met this ambition with the launch of the fund on 26 July 2021. YPFF allows the parents/carers and/or siblings (under 18) of a young inpatient to claim costs associated with hospital visits.
