The introductionof car park charging for staff, patients, visitors and carers is a local matterfor NHS boards.On Friday 14 September 2007, I announced that the Scottish Governmentwould be reviewing hospital car parking charges.
To ask the Scottish Executive how many Scottish Parliament events involving VIP or Royal visitors and requiring an additional police presence are anticipated over the next six months, broken down by police authority area.
That came through in our discussions with fieldwork sites that will have to consider those criteria, given that their finances are stretched as they move into this.
That is another big and complex piece of work, given the number of sites that are involved. All of that will continue and I think that it will very much complement what is happening with the FMP process.
We have new people who are getting involved in policy development as well as people who have a background in it; the point that I was making was about upskilling everyone, instead of there being a kind of greenfield site. There is significant experience within the core group of people working on the programme.
