The Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 gave courts powers to split pension benefits on divorce, and the Civil Partnership Act 2004 extended that provision to civil partners. Finally, transfers into the Parliament pension scheme must be from a registered pension scheme.
I will ask about a different area, in relation to paragraph 83 and exhibit 16 on page 26 of the report. We have spoken about the benefits to and the data on GPs, but I am interested in the benefits for patients.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether consideration will be given to transferring medical and nursing services supporting those in police custody to the NHS, in light of the decision to transfer medical and nursing services in the Scottish Prison Service to the NHS.
According to the December 2007 “Energy Trends”, published on 10 January 2008, the most recent data for electricity transferred to England is as follows: 2005 2006 Electricity transferred to England (net of receipts) 5,628 GWh 10,036 GWh S3W-13190
