I can therefore confirm that the Scottish Government is today transferring £950 million to local authorities so that payments can start going into the bank accounts of eligible businesses from Monday.
The UK Government launched the city deals programme in December 2011 with the publication of the “Unlocking growth in cities” white paper, which set out our ambition to transfer powers and decision making to local leaders and businesses to support economic growth.

To ask the Scottish Executive when responsibility for routine repeat prescribing will be transferred to pharmacists. The Scottish Government has no plans to transfer routine repeat prescribing to community pharmacists.

Details of the transfer of responsibility for the delivery of local economic regeneration including the associated funding resources, are still under discussion with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.
