Local Government Elections 2017 - Candidates, votes and seats won

Almost half of the nominated candidates were elected (47.7%). Figure 1 compares, for each party/grouping, the candidates as a share of the total number of candidates, the first preference votes as a share of total first preference votes, and seats won as a share of total number of seats.
