Today is a celebration.I echo what I said when I co-sponsored some equal marriage events. My wife and I have enjoyed 26 years of marriage, not civil partnership.
All that helps, but we need to see how it goes, especially the new programme of work. If the petitioner feels that it is not going far enough in being effective, they can bring the petition back to the new session of Parliament.
I wish the new NFU Scotland board, which was announced at the recent annual general meeting, and in particular Martin Birse from Pitgaveny Farms near Elgin, who is the new regional board member for Highland, all the best.
