To ask the Scottish Executive what the cost is of a gonad only test result compared to a whole animal test result for Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning in king scallops and why the testing regime in Scotland is different to that in Northern Ireland.
It says that reserve claims on behalf of the devolved Administrations will be judged on the same basis as those submitted by Whitehall departments.The document says that when a UK department is granted access to the reserve to enable it to meet exceptional pressures, a devolved Administration will have the opportunity to make its case, if it has a comparable programme and can establish that it faces similar exceptional pressures.
