He will be aware of my particular interest in the Erasmus scheme, given the fact that my late mother, Winnie Ewing, was a key architect and proponent of it when she chaired the European Parliament’s Youth, Culture, Education, Information and Sport Committee. Rejoining the scheme is great news for young people in Scotland and across Europe.
