To ask the Scottish Executive whether the appropriate Scottish Minister will visit the proposed site for the secure unit at Stobhill hospital in order to discuss with the local community their concerns regarding the unit.
—Official Report, 26 June 2002; c 13041.He said that he had removed £100 million from Scottish Water's budget.Since 1999, water charges have risen by 89 per cent in the east of Scotland; by 79 per cent in the west; and by 63 per cent in the north.
It was agreed that John McAllion should contact the Executive to seek further clarification on a number of points. A reply was received on 26 August. Members are invited to note the response and to consider whether the committee should take any further action in relation to the petition.
The Rural Development Committee is the lead committee, and we are required to report on the instrument by 26 March. Are members content with the instrument?
