There are two ways of doing an acquisition. If a company buys a hotel, it would either buy the asset of the hotel from the limited company, or acquire the share capital of that limited company, which would then come with the assets and liabilities that the company had.
I put the five in order of preference, with Edinburgh at the top. I got my top choice, but if I could choose again, I would choose West Lothian Council because it places its probationers in permanent teaching positions when they are fully registered and meet the standard.
That is already 2,400 posts, with next year’s figures still to come—and that is on top of the ward closures that have already been announced, including in Tayside.

The Electoral Commission’s written submission explained the digital imprint regime created by the Bill when taken with the Elections Act 2022, highlighting the benefits of each:
