We have done research into hand-held records with NHS Health Scotland, which has shown some of the advantages of hand-held records but also the difficulties in delivering them both within the health service and within the Gypsy Traveller community. As part of our work on the new general practitioner contract, which we hope to have in place by April 2017, we are looking at various new models of care and how they address the needs of certain communities, particularly in the context of the new integration authorities and how they meet the needs of the local community.
