Allotments and community growing: the impact of Part 9 of the Community Empowerment Act - Executive Summary

The Scottish Government should consider how it could address the complexity of the community asset transfer process which is currently a barrier to communities accessing land. In any future reviews of the Act the Scottish Government should explore whether the provisions of Part 9 could be extended beyond local authority owned allotments to other sites, such as those offered by other bodies or to private allotment sites.
