Amendment 3 is a minor amendment that removes the current disapplication of regulation 26(9) of the Representation of the People (Scotland) Regulations 2001 at section 5(2)(b) of the bill, which relates to applications to register that are submitted by those aged under 16.
The free tours were launched in September 2009, and up to December 2009 there were 55 separate members tours with a total of 869 visitors. Compare that with the same period in the previous year when the tours were charged for: there were two such tours with a total of 30 visitors.

Responsibility for ensuring benefit and tax credit uptake lies with the UK Government, however the Scottish Government recognises that providing national and local services that support benefit uptake can significantly increase household income.
I hope that the independent commission, which was brought in to review matters, will ensure that there is greater liaison with the police, who are almost always in the front line of such cases.
