I have raised with the director general of health and social care the case of Debbie Michie of Nethy Bridge, who was in the Ian Charles community hospital in Grantown for a year because there were no home carers. I recently visited a care home over on the Beauly Firth that gets seven phone calls a day asking for placements.

On a practical level and from a commercial point of view, the insolvency practitioner is generally available seven days a week and can visit individuals almost everywhere. Having worked in and been a chairperson of citizens advice bureaux, I can see the situation from both sides of the table.
