To ask the Scottish Government, as part of its work with football organisations, whatdiscussions it has had with the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) onthe reported proposed move by Hamilton Academical FC. We speak to the SPFL regularly on a range of issues, and they have kept us updated on matters relating to Hamilton Academical FC and their proposed move.I have recently written to the owners of the club offering to meet with them.

*S5M-17405 Lewis Macdonald: Aberdeen FC Community Trust Wins SPFL Trust Community Project of the Year—That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen FC Community Trust on winning the Community Project of the Year award at the SPFL Trust’s All Club Conference 2019 at Hampden Park in Glasgow; understands that Aberdeen FC Community Trust has been recognised for its PeterDeen initiative, which was launched in August 2018 and has provided a new and different curriculum for a group of S3 pupils from the Peterhead Academy catchment area, involving coaching sessions, spending time with third sector providers and taking vocational qualifications, all while completing core subjects such as English and Maths at school; recognises that the scheme, which is supported by Aberdeenshire Council, Peterhead FC and the local company, Score Group, won the award against competition from community projects at Partick Thistle, Celtic and Rangers; commends all the staff and pupils involved in the scheme, and looks forward to Aberdeen FC Community Trust continuing to develop PeterDeen and other such innovative schemes in the future.
