The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, passed by this Parliament back in February, widens the scope of sections 29 and 30 of the 1995 act. It expands from 16 to 21 to 16 to 26 the age range in which young people who are in care can be supported and it widens the potential support that a local authority can give to a young person.
