Supported by: Fulton MacGregor* *S6M-11585 Michelle Thomson: Community Spirit on Show to Support Stenhousemuir FC— That the Parliament congratulates the community of Stenhousemuir on its collective action to ensure the opening of its local team’s football ground at Ochilview Park on 3 December 2023, following wintery weather conditions overnight; understands that Stenhousemuir FC requested support from volunteers to clear the pitch of snow to allow the afternoon match with Bonnyrigg FC to go ahead, and that 35 supporters responded with their snow shovels to assist in the clearing of the pitch, allowing the match to proceed as planned; welcomes the positive community spirit demonstrated by the Stenhousemuir volunteers who turned out to support their local club when called upon, and wishes everyone involved all the best in the future.
