The forthcoming courts reform bill will transfer significant business from the Court of Session to sheriff courts, which will put even greater pressure on the courts that have survived the Government’s cuts programme.
Our discussions with COSLA recognise the serious financial challenges that have been created by the UK Government’s decision to cut 10 per cent from the fund when it is transferred.
