I am sure that you try to reach out until you are blue in the face, and I am sure that you do site visits to crofting communities to see what it is like on the ground and to understand the challenges that we learned about, such as those around bringing a bull in if the ferry does not work, so that you really have that understanding in the co-design phase.

It calls on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to clarify how sites that have been identified as areas of national scenic value can then be considered as suitable locations for the building of crematoria and other developments; whether allowing applications under the planning system to build crematoria and other developments runs contrary to the reasons for sites being designated as such; and whether the promotion and protection of our natural heritage should merit the conducting of a full and robust environmental impact assessment for every planning application.I welcome Christine Grahame, who is a frequent visitor to our committee.
For example, PCSD was explicitly part of the development of the Scottish Government’s new Trade Vision, published on 26 January 2021, which emphasises the principle of “do no harm” when developing Scotland’s international trade and investment links.
They are limited in that they focus on universal credit. They compare rent arrears for people on the older housing benefit system and rent arrears for those on the newer universal credit system.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it plans to establish a guaranteed loan fund for credit unions. Currently, there are no plans to establish a guaranteed loan fund for credit unions.
I chaired one in Edinburgh in October 2019, and I think that the Welsh First Minister chaired one in Cardiff at the end of January 2020. Therefore, 26 of the 28 meetings were chaired by UK Government ministers.
