The Committee has agreed that it wishes to consider in more detail whether other individuals visiting or working in the Parliament – including Scottish Government staff – with whom Members come into contact in the course of their parliamentary duties, should also be included in section 7.5 of the Code of Conduct.

In September 2022, the Scottish Government and COSLA are due to publish Scotland’s new suicide prevention strategy. The new strategy, and the Scottish Government’s suicide prevention efforts overall, will be supported by £2.8 million in funding by the end of this Parliament.
