Not Guilty: The Rights and Status of the Children of Prisoners in Scotland by the Commissioner for Children and Young People in Scotland, whether it plans to review prison rules with the Scottish Prison Service to raise the basic minimum entitlement to visits and to ensure that visits are regarded as a right of the child, not a privilege of the parent, and that quality “bonding” visits for children are available in all prisons.

As I said, the primary difference is to do with the 2010-11 figure. We used a comparable baseline, which is the baseline against which the 2014-15 budgets are calculated, whereas the Scottish Government used planned expenditure, thus the Scottish Government’s figures for 2010-11 are inflated by things such as EYF and its decision to defer the Scottish share...
How does the extent of that kind of family or friendship tenancy compare with that of what we might call the more commercial, arm’s-length, stranger relationship between landlord and tenant?
The Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 established a right of responsible access to land and inland water throughout Scotland with certain limited exceptions. Scottish Natural Heritage is aware of no instances where public access is a cause for concern on Areas of Special Protection.
The Custodial Sentences and Weapons (Scotland) Act 2007 enables the Scottish ministers to prohibit the manufacture, sale, hire, etc of swords, and to make exceptions for legitimate religious, cultural and sporting purposes.
