A lot more research is needed before a general cancer blood test could be used in cancer screening. In England, a large screening research trial involving one blood test – GRAIL’s Galleri test – has recently begun and will be aiming to recruit 140,000 participants over the coming months.
I am grateful the NSC will now consider targeted screening. This might provide an agreeable starting point for the conversation regarding development of a screening programme, I struggle with the idea of stratified screening for SCD.

The introduction by the Scottish Government of temporary rent caps through emergency legislation sought to provide protections for tenants during the cost crisis. However, whilst these were well-intentioned and welcomed by tenants, the Committee heard they had unintended consequences for tenants and landlords in the private rental sector, ultimately resulting in many cases in rent increases for tenants.

A tied pub tenant cannot submit a request for arbitration prior to the 'earliest possible date' - which is 21 days after the tenant has notified the PoB of the alleged failure to comply with the code.
