The National Forest Estate
Scotland's National Forest Estate is managed by Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES), the management agency of Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS), on behalf of Scottish Ministers.
This creates a broader duty on local authorities than exists currently.
Bòrd na Gàidhlig, Ceòlas, FC Sonas, Stòrlann and Misneachd Alba all welcomed this provision, with some highlighting that it would lead to a new national strategic approach.
