2. Consideration of continued petitions: The Committee considered PE1517 by Elaine Holmes and Olive McIlroy on behalf of Scottish Mesh Survivors - "Hear Our Voice" campaign on Polypropylene Mesh Medical Devices.
In tandem with those, we call for a full inquiry to ascertain, not what caused patients to fall ill and die, but who has been responsible for making the decisions during this crisis.
If there was no GRC, how would one protect women prisoners from men who say that they are women in order to transfer prisons? What are your thoughts on that?
The irony is that, relatively recently, medical provision transferred from the Scottish Prison Service to the national health service, which should make the steps easier.

To ask the Scottish Executive what the cost would be of transferring a convicted offender who would otherwise have been remanded in custody or served a sentence at HMP Kilmarnock to another part of the prison estate in an attempt to reduce the population at HMP Kilmarnock.

From 2008-09, this funding has been transferred to local government. The Scottish Government also provided £5.7 million for specific projects between 2005-06 and 2007-08, and has awarded funds of up to £1.6 million for 2008-09.
In July, the health secretary pledged that all care home staff would be tested weekly, but data shows that between 26 October and 1 November, approximately only 79 per cent of Scotland’s care home staff were tested for Covid-19.
Has it stayed exactly the same as it was when it was transferred? As the fund was a transferred benefit, in terms of the financial side, are there any restrictions on its use?
