To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on the reported recall of 150,000 women who were wrongly excluded from cervical cancer screening since 1997. S6T-01788
The UK Government did not even recognise the issue around tenant farmers. Interruption. I am sorry, but anything that members want to present to the chamber on behalf of the UK Government needs to be fully informed, because it is clear that it is not.
I recently met representatives of Scottish Tenant Farmers Association, who emphasised the health benefits and sustainability of the locally sourced, high-quality meat and dairy products that its members produce.
That is not the case currently. We speak to tenants all the time, and, this week, I was speaking to a tenant who has gone three months without water and heating in winter.
My slight concern is that the landowner could have produced the management plan for a tenant farmer and would have no ability to respond in any shape or form to the requirements of the community.
It will also help to secure the viability of tenant farming and enable tenant farmers and small landholders to participate in delivering our vision for agriculture.
