The storage of gas in the UK is facilitated through commercially operated storage sites and is monitored by National Grid as part of its responsibility to ensure system balancing of supply and demand.

This is a basic issue of human rights and democracy. The ability of people to express their political will and their political views without fear of violence is something that all of us as internationalists and, more importantly, as democrats, must uphold.
We have set ourselves the milestone of getting to 1,000 placements by 2025-26. Yesterday, a report was published that shows that we have already managed to surpass that, but we have an ambition to further increase the number of placements.
