Supported by: Stuart McMillan*, Bill Kidd*, Alasdair Allan* *S5M-18576 Monica Lennon: Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust Research That the Parliament is — concerned by research from Jo s Cervical Cancer Trust, which states that disabled women are ’ struggling to access potentially lifesaving cervical screening; understands that survey results indicate that 88% of women with physical disabilities find it harder to attend or access cervical screening, 63% said they have been unable to attend a cervical screening because of their disability and 49% have chosen not to attend cervical screening because of negative past experiences or worries about how people might react; believes that this inaccessibility due to a lack of equipment, lack of clear policies and substandard care in some areas is increasing the risk of cervical cancer for some women, and agrees that all women should have equal access to cervical screening.
