In 2022-23, we have made available an initial £3 million from our £10 million long Covid support fund, to help national health service boards to increase the capacity of existing services that support people with long Covid, develop the services into more clearly defined local pathways and provide a more co-ordinated experience for people who access support. I recently visited the Lister centre in Kilmarnock, where, among other pieces of extremely important work that are linked to heart, health and physiotherapy, the team will look at providing NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s dedicated long Covid support.
