To ask the Scottish Executive what procedures are in place to ensure that both male and female prison officers are available to search prisoners at visiting times. I have asked Tony Cameron, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service to respond.

His response is as follows:SPS has no record of any prison visiting committee having made representations since 1997 on the treatment of sex offenders in prisons.
