A particular result of the visit is that a team of Finnish education researchers visited Scotland from 31 May to 2 June to share with us their knowledge about applying ICTs to education and learning.

(S2O-04827)Cathy Jamieson: I met with representatives of the Association of Visiting Committees on 6 December last year and advised them of my intention to hold a review of the role of Prison Visiting Committees.
I do not accept Christine Grahame's comment about the brand new schools that I have visited. I have visited some of them, but over the past two or three weeks I have also visited some of our old schools and marvelled at the quality of education that is provided in some of them...
Of these visits, 72 were made under the Members Support Allowance within the UK or to Brussels/Strasbourg, 46 under the auspices of External Liaison Unit and 42 as committee visits.
