*S6M-08753 Ross Greer: 25th Anniversary of Arthurlie FC's Scottish Cup Victory—That the Parliament marks the 25th anniversary of Arthurlie FC’s second victory in the Scottish Junior Cup on 17 May 1998, following a 4-0 victory over local rivals, Pollok, at Motherwell’s Fir Park, thanks to goals from Mark McLaughlin, Steven Convery, John Millar and Steven Nugent; understands that, to mark the anniversary, a commemorative match will be played between the "Arthurlie 98" and a "Clydebank Select" at Dunterlie Park in Barrhead on 7 May 2023 at 2.00 pm; further understands that the game will also celebrate one of the players involved in the 1998 cup final, Stuart Allison, who gave ten years’ service to Arthurlie and an additional eight to Clydebank; notes that all money raised on the day will be donated to a local group, Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire, which is based in Barrhead, and wishes all players the best of luck on match day.
