Zero Waste Scotland has received 284 Stage 1 applications. 111 have been approved to Stage 2 Application stage, 26 are still being assessed or clarified and 147 have been rejected.
The Scottish Government provides significant subsidy to HIAL to offset the difference between its commercial revenue and the cost of its operations which in 2017-18 totals over £26 million. The aim is for HIAL to break even in any given period taking account of its commercial revenue and subsidy from the Scottish Government.

Compared to 6-car C170 diesel trains 26% more seats will be provided when all Edinburgh-Glasgow services are operated by 7-car trains and this will rise to 44% more seats when 8-cars run on all peak time services.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S4W-29286 by Aileen McLeod on 26 January 2016, whether the (a) Sound of Barra Special Area of Conservation management committee is now in place and (b) report has been published.
At our next meeting, we will take evidence from third sector member organisations, regulators, inspectors and third sector equality organisations as part of our scrutiny of the Scottish Government’s budget for 2020-21. 11:11 Meeting continued in private until 11:26.
In the open debate there is a tight six minutes for all speakers. 15:26 I agree with the First Minister’s declaration that part of creating a fairer and more prosperous society is everyone having “a safe, warm and affordable home”.
There are only two points in the financial year at which we are allowed to make transfers, and at some point in the year the money is notionally transferred to our budget to account for that work.
