The recommendations include actions to improve equalities data in general practice, str engthening the focus of inequalities through the GP contract and a new Enhanced Service for the first time focussed on activating practices’ full potential to proactively support vulnerable people at risk of poor health outcomes.
During these visits, members met with local authority staff, local businesses and community groups involved in implementing community wealth building strategies in their areas.
This was a prevalent theme in our engagement event with the Scottish Youth Parliament and on visits. Inter-island ferries in particular were described to the Committee as akin to bus services and young people were of the view they should have parity with young people on the mainland.
