The Scottish Government's policy in relation to resourcing the Bill appeared to consist of asking the Parliament to agree to the law change and then to hand responsibility to Police Scotland to decide how best to accommodate the increased demand within current resources.ivJustice Committee, Official Report, 6 June 2017, col. 26
The Committee agrees with evidence that, if the Bill is agreed to, it will be crucial for the Scottish Government to have in place a plan for its implementation, especially in relation to the new offence of domestic abuse.
