*S5M-12851 Kenneth Gibson: Be Cervix Savvy Roadshow Launch That the Parliament notes — that, as Cervical Screening Awareness Week 2018 draws to a close, Jo s Cervical Cancer Trust ’ launched its Be Cervix Savvy Roadshow on 18 June; understands that this government-funded roadshow will bring information and support about cervical screening and cervical cancer to various communities across Scotland; recognises that the roadshow began in Aberdeen, where it will remain for a week before heading off to Dundee, Fife, Lanarkshire and Glasgow, finally finishing off in Edinburgh on 23-24 July; welcomes that this travelling event has the potential to significantly impact general awareness, screening coverage and earlier diagnosis, and to ultimately save lives; commends the ongoing work carried out by Jo s Cervical Cancer Trust, ’ which gives women the ability to make informed choices and spreads vital, life-saving health messages; emphasises the importance of this roadshow in reaching out to women in areas where the cervical screening attendance is low and taking action to remove potential barriers that may be preventing women from attending potentially life-saving cervical screenings, and notes that further information on the Cervix Savvy Roadshow can be found at jostrust.org.uk/roadshow.
