To ask the Scottish Government what impact it anticipates its proposed £5,869,000 reduction to the VisitScotland budget, as set out in the 2024-25 Scottish Budget, will have on its ability to promote Scotland as a prime tourist destination.
As a result, the Scottish Government does not have any specific targets for the use of NFM. We are committed to promoting and advancing our understanding of NFM projects and as part of this commitment we are funding the long term Eddleston Water research project and the Allan Water improvement project.

The funding allows them to develop international opportunities for artists, promote Scotland and its culture, and provide invaluable schools and community programmes, both during festivals and all-year round.

This covers staffing, running costs and all activities of the Scottish Government’s office in Copenhagen including a programme of policy, trade and cultural events to promote investment and economic opportunities between Scotland and the Nordic countries.
In addition to this, a range of local, national and grassroots organisations are funded to promote youth work among the minority ethnic community and advance race equality in general to improve outcomes for young people.

There is a lot of co-operation. Media news coverage means that we always hear about disagreements—bad news and disagreements make for better headlines than co-operation does.
The single biggest issue that was brought to my attention was housing. I visited housing associations and heard how cuts to the housing association grant have damaged new-build programmes, reduced the reserves and contributed to such a poor record in house building.
As the Parliament agreed yesterday that the final stage will take place on Thursday 26 June, the deadline for lodging final stage amendments will be 4.30 pm on Monday 23 June.
