We published in October 2015, the new Universal Health Visitor Pathway, which outlines a core home visiting programme to be offered to families with pre-school children.
We have self funded a joint mental health/substance use pharmacy post in Angus to further support this new way of working, after planned Scottish Government funding for this was not forthcoming due to cuts in the Scottish Government funding for new pharmacy posts.
The Scottish Government also proposes to amend the Bill to include a sunset clause by inserting a new section and a new delegated power into the Bill, amendment 15.
The Committee looks forward to working constructively with you in delivering these new support mechanisms. You will also recall that, during its consideration of related statutory instruments towards the end of 2024, the Rural Affairs and Islands Committee had a number of questions about how these individual instruments sat within the wider context of a new system of agricultural support.
