In addition, £25 million was allocated in financial transactions to the Scottish National Investment Bank to be invested on a commercial basis in line with the Bank’s Investment Strategy and its mission, including support for a just transition.
The increase in the Scottish Funding Council’s (SFC) balance relates to Taxpayers’ equity, which represents SFC’s investment in the university sector through low cost loans (SFC’s Financial Transactions programme) issued to universities to support them with longer-term projects since 2018.

Our first-time buyer relief for Land and Buildings Transaction Tax has the effect of raising the nil-rate threshold from £145,000 to £175,000, saving first-time buyers up to £600.
The Open Market Shared Equity thresholds are reviewed annually each December to reflect the overall movement in average house prices across all transactions over the previous financial year in each area, based on house price data from Registers of Scotland on the lower quartile of house prices in urban areas and the median of house prices in rural areas.

. £179 million of capital and financial transactions was assumed as the estimated Scotland Reserve availability for 2022-23, but this is not linked to specific portfolio underspends.
Following this meeting the Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government to highlight relevant issues, including the current position on GFG Alliance producing audited accounts and other points relating to the complexity of the transaction and the Scottish Government's management of its guarantee/investment.
UNIDROIT
As mentioned in the section about definitions, UNIDROIT adopted the DAPL Principles in 2023 to facilitate transactions in types of digital assets often used in commerce and to provide guidance to different parties dealing with digital assets.
It provides a comprehensive set of laws governing all commercial transactions in the US and therefore is described as “the backbone of American commerce”.
