Mike Palmer referred to the number of times that accreditation visits take place. Some farmers basically have an entire department for that; every day, somebody is looking at an aspect of their accreditation, whether that is a regulator, a supermarket or a scheme provider.
It is not clear why more detailed provision about the functions of the National Planning Performance Co-ordinator could not be set out on the face of section 26(1) of the Bill rather than in regulations.
