To ask the Scottish Executive what progress is being made towards the target of planting around 9,000 to 10,000 hectares of new forests and woodlands annually. Earlier this year, Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) indicated in its Scottish Forestry Strategy Implementation Plan that a sustained programme of around 10,000 hectares of new planting would be required each year to achieve the strategy aspiration of 25% woodland cover by the second half of the century.

Motherwell Football Club and its manager, Stephen Robinson, produced a video—it is available on YouTube and Facebook—in which players talk openly about their experience of suicide and encourage young fans and young people who take part in football to talk about their concerns before things get to crisis point in their lives. It is not just Motherwell FC that is involved in such work. I attended the launch of the suicide prevention strategy that Motherwell, Airdrieonians FC, Albion Rovers FC and Clyde FC have adopted.
