The purpose of the visit was to discuss the two new ferries that are being built at the yard for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) as well as the regeneration of commercial shipbuilding on the River Clyde.
Stage 3, a further amending stage followed by a debate and a vote on a motion to pass the final Bill, took place in the Chamber on 26 June 2024. The Bill became an Act on 8 August 2024.
