I addressed the issue at First Minister’s question time—I cannot remember whether it was last week or the previous one—before the latest landslip. We are committed to finding a fundamental long-term solution to the problem and are considering a number of options on a cross-party basis, as is right and proper.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S4W-12690 by Michael Matheson on 26 February 2013, who invites healthcare officials and stakeholders to join the Scottish Chronic Pain Steering Group.
As you know, the NHS in Scotland is under unprecedented pressure, particularly as a result of this latest Covid wave, and a number of services have been stood down in order to support urgent and emergency demand.

Since then this proportion has remained relatively steady, although it has increased slightly in the latest quarter from 9% in October to December 2020 up to 10% in January to March 2021.
