Care Home Residents (Visits) To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to ensure that care home residents who are unable to go outside can still meet friends and family.
I hope, for example, that we will soon hear further news on the future of the Arnish construction yard in Lewis from its new owners, who have committed such attention to ensuring that new work comes its way.
Visits
In this parliamentary year the Committee has visited the Social Security Scotland headquarters in Dundee on two separate occasions (1 November 2021 and 29 April 2022).
These schemes allowed us to deliver much needed new schools, new NHS facilities, new colleges and other key infrastructure that would otherwise not have been possible.
The duty is on the local authority to provide the required services under section 26, and the closure of one particular service would not of itself necessarily be a breach of that section.
