Act 1993, sportscotland, the national agency for sport in Scotland, was appointed to distribute funding received from the National Lottery for Scottish sport. Section 26 of the Act outlines directions to distributing bodies, such as sportscotland, of National Lottery funds.

Kenneth Campbell QC, giving evidence on behalf of the Faculty of Advocates, suggested that he could see value in the Scottish Ministers having this power:

The Committee explored with UK Ministers why the power had not been afforded to the Scottish Ministers.
The number of referrals does not necessarily indicate the level of work for panels - only around a quarter of referrals in 2015/16 result in a Hearing being arranged (26% in 2015/16). There were over 35,000 Hearings held in 2015/16.

For any care homes that are unable to make use of lateral flow tests before Christmas, PCR testing of visitors will be available when necessary to facilitate visiting over the Christmas and New Year period.
I continue to urge him to visit those communities. The proposals that were revealed on 26 January will impact on 16 more sites in other parts of Scotland: nine jobcentres, six back offices and one centre for health and disability assessment.
